This is 2-3 years late but, here it goes. Sarah Palin, you know her. Republican, Former Governor of Alaska; potential vice-president; Uh, Maverick… But one thing you also know her for being is a potential president candidate. Now as some of you may already know, President Barack Obama hasn’t really lived up to his promises according to people in the news. Now I don’t think of him as a bad president, takes time for a president to change stuff but we’ll get back to that at a later time. The focus here is on Sarah Palin, potential President of the United States. The fact that she’s even considering to be president just makes me shudder with fear, terror even. If you thought McCain would make a bad president then McPalin would be even worse. Here’s a few reasons why.

1. She’s not fit to run the country.

You can see just from a picture of Sarah Palin that she’s not fit the country.

This is your future president, a skimpy chick.

In my opinion, she’s underskilled, a convulsive liar and one that’ll use this position for personal gain. In her ongoing days as a Fox News correspondent (which I don’t watch fortunately), she has lied about basically anything in order to support her agenda. While it’s a known fact that everybody has an hidden agenda, she just says anything that she wants and nobody questions it; possibly because now that she has a reality show, she is automatically famous (the Kardashian effect, which has made E! unwatchable white trash.) Not only that but when it comes time for her to sit in that presidents chair and make important choices that’ll change America forever, she’ll just break down and order that we invade some random country that has some high-paying resource that’ll make the rich richer, but not before blowing up the new World Trade Center to make the war justifiable. (No offense to the 9/11 victims, that was a deadly tragedy that no one will ever forget.)

2. Only popular due to media exposure.

I admit, I’ve never even heard of Sarah Palin until she became a running-mate with John McCain, that’s how obscure she was. Ever since she’s been McCain’s running mate, her popularity has exploded to the point where she resigned as Alaska govenor, written a book and starred in her own reality series on TLC. “Sarah Palin’s Alaska”.

Yup, Sarah Palin’s Alaska consists of 2 hot men, 2 hot chicks and one little girl. Her Alaska has never been more defined then this.

People say this is her political relaunch. I say that it is their attempt to capitalize on Sarah Palin after she became a media darling. I mean why else would you watch this show, to get to know Sarah Palin and her political views? Hell no! You watch it because you like to see people’s weird lives and conflicts (like the Kardashians, who’s fame is unjustified.). I mean if all you get to watch is her cutting down trees and hunting bears and intimate romance then what difference is there at all? We don’t even get to see the kids ambitions and goals and dreams, only their lovelife and their love for their mother. Even Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood had shown Snoop’s son working for K-EARTH 101, why couldn’t Sarah Palin do the same.

There’s also the possibility that the media could therefore work in her favor and therefore garner her the winning votes. I mean she’s been gaining traction due to a “social media campaign” (reason it’s in quotes because I doubt that it’s a social media campaign at all.) and potentially the media could overlook all of her flaws and just focus on the things that make her so great. I mean forget her policies, focus on Sarah Palin! Who gives a shit about politics when all we’re going to be caring about in 2012 is how good the candidates look. I mean she is going to be running America after all. I swear people should stop listening to the media and just use common sense.

3. Very awkward misinformative WTF positions.

The video above states some of the points that I’m making. She has done some weird shit in the past and she’ll continue to do and say weird shit like this. She’s armed with Facebook and Twitter so she can make all of the comments she wants and no one will question her. Apparently her opinions consist of the regular Republican tirade amplified by 100%. ObamaCare sucks, we need more weapons, we need less taxes, more money for us, more power, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Her opinions are in full effect with the rejection of START is based on the common republican fact that America must be all rich and all powerful (that means having powerful military with the ability to destroy any country that she wants.). Apparently I didn’t know we were at war with other countries except Iran. Again, Obama isn’t living up to the standards that other people put on him but it’s only a matter of time before she runs out of ammunition, and what can she run to for her political ambitions. Why Fox News, the Tea Party and FreedomWorks. Which brings me to number four.

4. Borderline deception.

Since she has the Tea Party and FreedomWorks to fall back on, it’s only a matter of time before she is inducted president. I mean the whole Tea Party thing is due to Americans (mainly rich people and some middle class who earn more then other middle class siblings) wanting lower taxes. Lower taxes meaning that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I apologize if I’m sounding like a broken record but that’s the way Republicans (and now some Democrats unfortunately since they basically made them right.) think. I mean the entire purpose to them is to get power and to decide what is best for America. Apparently they’ve taken the whole American spirit thing way too far now.

The people who are in the Tea Party are basically very uneducated masses who willingly believe the lies propagated by them. I mean we live in America but I don’t care whether they’re demanding too much or my healthcare is apparently going in the shitter. I’m not looking forward to amassing huge amounts of money, therefore the taxes don’t bother me at the least bit. However, these people have been tricked to believe that their America is screwing them and it’s all Obama’s fault. How can everything be Obama’s fault? I swear if a tree goes down, it’s Obama’s fault; violence in Egypt, it’s Obama’s fault. How the fuck can violence in Egypt be the fault of Obama when it is the fault of a Muslim dictator? Obama’s just trying to help.

Anyway, enough about the Tea Party, let’s move on to FreedomWorks which I have to remind everyone isn’t really Free. Same issues here, Less Taxes, Spending is out of control… This is where things get different here, they claim that taxes are at fault for hindering technological progress and the energy prices are going up because of the government. As if the government is behind every price increase and fault there is. We live in a country where every state is separate, the President just dictates global laws and looks out for the best interest of Americans. Every state has it’s own laws, it’s own taxes and it’s own government, they decide how education should matter, they decide how power should be priced. I mean Texas has very few gun laws, California has a strict gun law. See the difference? If the government were really in control then we would have guns in every home or the guns would be banned altogether.

The fact that these people mainly care about power and keeping illegals out of our American country proves they’re not out for the best interest of us living in the country. Don’t be fooled by the red & blue star logo. The site tilts primarily to the red, and so does Sarah Palin.

5. America will go to the shitter once she’s president.

In my opinion, she’ll be a worst president then Barack Obama is. Even George W. Bush has said she isn’t presidential material, I’m going to keep this short and just say that she’ll bring us further into the recession, spend all of our money on the military, tighten up the boarder so that no “illegals” can get through and ruin international relations with countries outside of the US.

So there you go, 5 reasons why Sarah Palin should never become president of the United States. I get that some of you might have a different opinion and I understand that but this is how I feel and these are my opinions. They may not be 100% accurate but most of them is the truth. I swear if Sarah Palin becomes president, I may have to think about moving to a different country.

I know mostly every person in the world isn’t going to care about this but I’m going to say something anyway. Apparently due to my RAM being incompatible with my motherboard (it freezing the system even with 2 sticks in the system), I bidded on some RAM, I won, I payed for it and the seller shipped it to me. There were things that turned me off, such as the long wait for shipping and the fact that he’s from Canada, which is outside of the U.S.. I had hoped that everything would go smoothly, that my RAM would be here in a few days depending on how long customs take to clear the item… Few days later, my item still hasn’t come. I checked the tracking number he gave me and it confusingly said it was delivered to a location in Canada. I filed a claim with PayPal about this very issue (due to the questionable response time of the seller) and he gave me the tracking number. So I went to the Canada Post website, entered the tracking number and loe behold at what I would see…

Yup, you read right. My RAM has been at U.S. customs for 11 days now. Now I get that it’s the holidays and everything but it shouldn’t take them this long to get a simple package through custom. Especially 2 sticks of Corsair Dominator RAM, I guess they got it buried with all the suspicious packages such as a nicely knitted sweater from Germany or a statue of a picture of a Family from France. What could be suspicious about those items, well I guess the Dominator has a metal heatspreader surrounded around it but there isn’t any bomb in it, technology hasn’t advanced that far enough, otherwise we’d have bombs that are the size of molecules and stuff.

It’s not just me, there are other people who are complaining. I’ve heard from one guy that the U.S. customs took their sweet time in analyzing a bunch of servers, servers that apparently had no bomb or computer virus that threatens the entire world loaded on it, and when they were done, they poorly taped it together and it just fell apart when it came to the guy. There’s also an issue of a trading card, a simple trading card taking a month to pass through customs. I get that it takes a long time for stuff to get through customs but how many people do they have working there, more importantly how many packages do they have to mark as suspicious. I mean the only thing that looks suspicious are statues and wooden boxes and machinery bigger then a credit card, but not everything. If you want my opinion, they are taking the war on terror TO FAR!!! I mean I’m not going to subject myself to a strip search because they assume I’m carrying a bomb, do they think that my man parts are filled with uranium that’ll explode if I press a button. Please!

I spend $91 dollars on the RAM, that means I just payed money to have an item shipped from Canada to go through an unusually long time through customs (where they’re searching for Bombs on it) and in a few months or so (apparently there’s a maximum amount of days an item can remain at customs.) I’ll hopefully receive my RAM, hopefully because I’m hoping that it doesn’t get lost within the other packages they have piled around. I swear they’re so disorganized that this might be the reason why they take so damn long. So the lesson learned is, never order stuff from international waters unless you have the patience to wait for your item and the luck that it’ll arrive on time, especially stuff from eBay. I’m guessing all of you have the answer to have avoided this in the first place, and I know that answer as well. Buy from U.S. stores, way faster!

EDIT: Now my computer freezes up and produces a tone that’d make anybody reach for the power button on their speakers, life goes on apparently…

EDIT #2: Just got ram from Amazon.com, I’m back up and running. Future note, never order anything that you need right now from Canada.

I mostly use Google Maps all the time, to find directions to restaurants, places I need to get to, hotels. So I’m listing examples of what I might use Google Maps for, I don’t travel out often but mostly I like to look around at major cities and use street view to see the sights. I haven’t used Google Maps as of late but there is a new bill that is forcing companies based in California to blur out any seemingly potential Terrorist targets such as Schools, Government and Medical buildings, anything that looks secretive and anything that might be considered a terrorist “threat” which includes almost anything. I don’t know what the governor who is issuing this bill is thinking, that this will prevent terrorism… Google Maps can only see the tops of buildings and only the view of the street, not the inside of the buildings. How can this thing plan terrorism other then the fact that it could be used to find locations if anyone were to use the map casually to find locations nobody has ever found before.

Mostly he is insane, the reason being is that it’s censorship, meaning that anything objectable, or anything that could be harmful, dangerous to children or might promote terrorism is immediately blurred out or removed as soon as possible. I understand that there are many guides on the internet that show people how to do these things and mostly 30% or more of the internet is potentially offensive, but the fact that anything could be considered a threat to terrorism is partially stupid. The reason why I use partially stupid is because there are mostly some things that could be used for terrorism that we don’t know about yet but come on, we’re mostly prepared for a terrorist attack that hasn’t happened yet or possibly will not happen. I understand the safety of everyone and the thought of preventing terrorism once and for all and this might have a very, very small chance of working but I think the bill is stupid and the guy doesn’t have an idea how it works, though I do applaud his bravery.

Think about it, if a normal people were to be looking for a hospital of some sort, let’s say that they’re sick or that they need urgent attention. They would find that the hospital is blurred out for some reason, prompting some confusion as to why an average hospital would be blurred out. Or if they needed directions of a school of some sort, they would find it blurred and would also prompt confusion as to why the school is blurred out. I don’t know why a hospital or a school would need to be blurred out considering that as said above, it’s a top down map only and Street View does not allow you to view the campus or the back of a hospital. Furthermore if there were an impeding Terrorist attack, they would most likely be able to evacuate everyone safely and be able to defuse the bomb or shoot down the missile or whatever the terrorists might be doing. Also they would need blueprints of some sort because they would not know the interior or the structure of the building as Google Maps and mostly other map programs only show the roof.

Also, because the governor issuing the bill might not know that the bill applies to the US only, which means that the aformented things listed above will only be blurred in the United States and any other potential terrorist targets outside of the US will not be blurred. If the governor realizes that Google Maps may be used to plan Terrorist attacks in the US may be used to plan attacks in other countries such as Asia, Africa, South America, Russia, and other foreign countries. I’m not saying that I support the attacks on other countries but I’m pointing out a minor flaw in his bill. It would be that America is potentially safer and the other countries are even more vulnerable and valuable since it would be easier to plan out using Google Maps or any other mapping program that he might mention. Additionally, this would lead to some invasion of some other country or a crippling of another country of which a terrorist group could do for some reason or another.

More importantly, the plan of blurring out parts of a map is considered censorship to some. Let’s say that you liked something, something that was enjoyable, influential and risky, something that was released long ago. Let’s say that you saw the same thing a few years later, your favorite parts of the book are either changed, toned down or removed entirely. That’s what censorship is like, forcing people to remove or change the things they say in order to appeal to people who are either overreacting, are offended or believe that what they’re saying aren’t right at all. Mostly this feels wrong because people are going to be in a uproar because the government or a bill forced Google or Yahoo to blur out or remove any offensive, inappropriate or classified content, people feel that the way the internet delivers content is screwed up because companies and groups are confused by how they should deliver it and how it might cause an uproar or something.

I appreciate what he’s trying to do but I don’t think this bill is ever going to work. For one, it’s forcing companies to censor their content which people will complain over because the internet is supposed to be a free way to express opinions, two is that how is this going to help prevent terrorism since mostly Google doesn’t have any serious terrorism planning abilities, the blurred out areas are going to be obvious to terrorists, and it’s limited to companies located in California, which means that a company like Microsoft will have clear shots of those areas and it may be used as a terrorist tool itself, and it only covers the US which means other countries are not covered as described above, also the terrorists could use paper maps and phone books to find out places to strike. Three is that it’s poorly planned out, I mean if he truly wanted to prevent terrorism, he would want to take the issue to the United Nations and let them make a decision of whether to blur their terrorist targets or not.

I’m not saying that I support the bill, but with the emphasis on censorship and the fact that it’s poorly planned, I don’t think that it will ever work out. I personally think that there is no probable way to stop terrorism without causing a panic or some controversy but I think that some places are properly prepared after 9/11 to be ready to face this threat should it ever become a reality again, though I do hate the censorship that did come after 9/11 what with shows cutting scenes that involve buildings crashing and all that and that was a major blow for TV shows and media altogether. But I don’t think that maps should ever have to blur out anything just because it might cause some potential harm, mostly all censorship has done was sprout up paranoia and other kinds of fear because what they’re hiding or what they’re doing to free speech or it could be inappropriate for children or whatever insane reason there is and it’s brought no good for everyone except the people who think that it’s right.
